I enjoy some classical-crossover like Sarah Brightman and Josh Groban. Broadway music is always good, and I am a particular fan of Rent, Wicked and Phantom of the Opera. Some of my favorite singers (Idina Menzel and Kristin Chenoweth) are Broadway Stars. I was raised on country, so I like SOME of that as well, and I am also a fan of pop. I have recently started getting into Adam Lambert (never watched him on American Idol, but I love his CD) and Lady Gaga.
In general, my musical taste can best be described as eclectic.
Movies:
Musicals: Rent, Mamma Mia, Rocky Horror, Phantom of the Opera.
Comedies: Down With Love, 9 to 5, 10 Things I Hate About You, Bring It On
I also enjoy some drama, sci-fi and even kid's movies.
A lot of what I watch is DVD's of TV shows, though I generally don't watch much actual TV. I am a fan of Charmed and SVU and also enjoy shows like Buffy and Roswell. I also indulge in a guilty pleasure of old cartoons, both from when I was a kid and further back when my parents were kids. My three all time favorites are DuckTales, Rocky and Bullwinkle and The Jetsons.
In general, my TV and Movie taste can best be described as eclectic.
Books:
I love Books! Everything from classics like Charles Dickens to the horror novels of Anne Rice (as well as the more "suspense/thriller" novels of her son Christopher Rice) to fantasy by authors like David and Leigh Eddings, Mercedes Lackey and Terry Pratchett and even young adult books like the Twilight Saga (I don't think they're very well-written, but it's an interesting story) and Cassandra Clare's "The Mortal Instruments."
In general, my taste in books can best be described as eclectic. (Are we noticing a pattern yet...?)
