FAMILY GUIDELINES & TERMS OF CONDUCT
STATEMENT: The membership of the Family known as the Black Wolves shall make every effort to promote positive beliefs within the realm of the Red Light Center. Respect for each other and others is expected, no matter what your preferences and beliefs may be.
FAMILY GUIDELINES
The Family known as the Black Wolves (herein referred to as the BW’s), were founded on the belief that all members would promote respect towards others, possess the skills to succeed at any task, maintain honesty towards one another, and exhibit devotion to the Family. Respect shall be given, nor judgment be rendered, regardless of who and what you are, as long as respect is given in return. All are accepted, given your individual actions are not harmful to others.
MEETINGS
All Black Wolves are expected to attend our GENERAL MEETING, which are scheduled weekly on Sundays (2PM Pacific/3PM Mountain/4PM Central/5PM Eastern). If you are unable to attend, please send a message to any LEADER, to be duly noted. MEMBERSHIP COMMITTEE MEETINGS are held weekly on Wednesdays (9 Eastern/8 Central/7 Mountain/6 Pacific), and are VOLUNTARY, although it is requested that as many as possible attend. Minutes from each meeting will be posted ASAP on the BW Forum page.
The agenda for our GENERAL MEETING is determined by past business, and new business which has either been…
1. Posted in the BW Forum page prior to the meeting, or
2. Requested in advance, in person, to Leadership.
There will be no exceptions to this guideline!!!
Conduct in meetings is paramount and vital to its success. Respect shall be given to all fellow members, regardless of opinion. Progression of our meetings follows the general guidelines of ROBERT’S RULES OF CONDUCT. Please keep in mind basic courtesy in each meeting, i.e. do not talk in General Chat unless you are asking a question or voting! This insures that the details of the meeting are read clearly by all, and that the meeting is conducted expediently and efficiently. If you do have a question, obviously you cannot raise your hand (L0L) – instead, type an asterisk (*) in General Chat and you will be called upon in order. PLEASE DO NOT PRIVATE MESSAGE LEADERSHIP UNLESS IT IS AN EMERGENCY!!!
Guidelines for our meetings are listed below;
a.LEADERSHIP opens each meeting.
b.Old business will be discussed.
c.New business will be discussed.
d.Questions & Comments by LEADERSHIP & MEMBERSHIP
e.Adjournment
All members will be reminded that they can speak with the Mediator after every meeting if there is need.
CONFLICT
Understanding that we are all human and have problems/issues that may filter into RLC, we strive to resolve them amongst ourselves! It is understood that we DO NOT pursue arguments/bashing/hatred in public, i.e. bulletins!!! We resolve our differences in-house; therefore, if by chance there is a rift between fellow BW’s, you are to follow this chain of resolution;
a.Discuss and resolve the conflict amongst the parties in question. If this is NOT possible, then
b.Contact the Family Mediator, and schedule the earliest possible time to discuss the issue between the parties in conflict and said Mediator. In most cases, the Mediator will listen to both sides of the conflict, discuss the issue, and then offer a best-case resolution to the matter. It is the BW’s belief that any and all conflicts can be resolved; nevertheless, depending on the seriousness of the matter, a last resort may and will include dismissal from the BW family by either member involved. This last resort will be determined between the Mediator and Leadership of the Family, ****and by majority vote of the membership ****, when necessary.
If you are involved with an individual OUTSIDE of the BW’s, contact a Leader or Mediator for assistance.
c. At no time are u ever allowed to bring shame to the family. Should a problem in the game become so distressful to u that u need time to work it out, ask for it. Keep the lines of communication open.
d. Do not block(ignore) ur family. We will always do our best to be respectful and work it out. While it is not mandatory to add the full family to ur list it is RICHLY DESIRED.
MEMBERSHIP
Membership into the Black Wolf Family is open to all that show a willing determination to accept our values and beliefs. We do not discriminate based on race, age (following the guidelines of RLC/UTHERVERSE), sex, nor disability. To gain acceptance, the prospective individual must do the following;
a.After expressing their interest in the BW’s, the individual will be directed to the Black Wolf Forum page (from the link on the FULL MOON home page), to submit an application for entry. In said application, the individual must be prepared to tell a bit about themselves, how long they’ve been a customer of RLC, and what they believe they would bring in terms of contributions to the BW family. They should also indicate who their SPONSOR is in their application. This will enable all BW members to inquire to that SPONSOR about the applicant. Their RLC name should be included in the application.
b.Applicants are given one week prior to the BW’s scheduled MEMBERSHIP COMMITTEE MEETING which will give the individual time to meet as many active members as possible. This is the responsibility of the individual and their SPONSOR!!! The applicant should be able to become familiar with a majority of the active family members, so FIRST IMPRESSIONS ARE IMPORTANT!!! MEMBERSHIP COMMITTEE MEETINGS are scheduled weekly on Wednesday evenings (9 Eastern/8 Central/7 Mountain/6 Pacific), therefore to be eligible for vote, you must have your application submitted no later than the Thursday prior to each meeting. THERE WILL BE NO EXCEPTIONS!!! This is to keep fairness in order for ALL prospective applicants.
c.When presenting yourself to the MEMBERSHIP COMMITTEE, applicants will be asked to be seated on the wall next to the entry door of the Conference Room in Full Moon. They will then be asked to tell the Committee a bit about themselves, why they want to become a Black Wolf, and how they could contribute to the Family. Afterwards, you may be asked questions from the Committee, and you must answer those questions to the best of your knowledge. If all questions are answered satisfactorily, Leadership will then ask the Committee for a vote. If a majority accepts, you will then be asked to agree to the guidelines of the Family. Those guidelines include, but not limited to:
1.Agreement of the guidelines listed under the terms of CONFLICT (listed above),
2.Agreement to pay dues on time (before the 10th of the month)
3.Agreement of the guidelines involving MEETING CONDUCT (listed above).
4.Agreement to insert ‘BW’ to your name, preferably at the end (i.e. Anyname_BW)
All new BW’s are given a two (2) week grace period to be observed by your fellow family members. Your interaction with others, as well as your participation within the family will be noted, and, if there are any problems/issues to arise, you may and will be notified by either your SPONSOR, LEADERSHIP, OR MEDIATOR for correction. A serious infraction to our guidelines that is not able to be resolved may and will include reprimand, up to and including dismissal from the Black Wolf Family.
New members are eligible to vote immediately on any issues discussed beginning with their attendance at their first GENERAL MEETING. You are expected to vote either a YES or NO to each issue. If you are unfamiliar with the issue being voted on, you as a NEW MEMBER are allowed to vote by saying ‘ABSTAIN’ – in which your vote will not count. Again, this is ONLY allowed during your two-week grace period. Once that time is over, you should be acclimated to all aspects of the family, and will be required to vote YES/NO to any and all topics.
