Books:
A lot of the way I talk comes from spending too much time on serious RP servers. If someone PMs me while they are not in the room, I will call it a text, tell them to check their phone, or say I am putting my phone away instead of treating it like floating OOC chat. If I am lagging, I will say I have a headache, if someone is offline, I will say they are sleeping and if I need to go AFK, I will say I am going to be in my own head or meditate for a moment. I also say things like “flex your spacebar muscle” when someone needs to jump, it is just an old immersion habit from trying to explain game mechanics without breaking the scene.
