Being an Utherverse advertising affiliate is a great way to bring cash in through your website. This is a quick guide showing how to set-up your account, the best places to put ads and how to increase your traffic flow. For every VIP member you refer, you make 75% of their sign-up, minus a small processing charge.

It is free to sign up as an affiliate. There is no money involved on your end.

After that, proceed to sign up. Make sure to input the right information! Once you are signed up, you can return to the affiliate area anytime by using the button shown below;

Important things to note while signing up:

• Utherverse is NOT the outgoing payment manager for the affiliate program. CCBill, http://ccbill.com/, manages all payments to affiliates. Please make sure you are in a country that they are capable of sending checks to, or you may not be able to receive your money!
• The Utherverse and CCBill use different affiliate login IDs and passwords. Upon signup, CCBill will send you an e-mail including all the important information.
• As you refer members, please keep in mind that you can only receive bonus Rays for 5 referrals per 24 hour period. There is, of course, no limit to how much cash you can earn through your VIP upgrade commissions.

Banner and Advertisement Placement

To access the banners, flash ads and short movies that can be placed on your website, click the button shown below;

This area contains all the necessary information and linking codes that you need to get started. We give you the option of choosing either the Utherverse or the Social Center to promote. To choose which, or if you would rather promote your profile, choose from the options on the left hand-side of the Promotional Materials Page.

Once you have chosen the product to promote, you will see a variety of different options. You can use banner ads, flash ads and small movies. Use the Quick Jump feature to go to the advertisements that are the most appropriate for your website.

Once you have found and advertisement that will fit your page, select and copy the HTML code beneath it. You will need to copy and insert this code into your website. If you do not know HTML, a simple tutorial can be found at http://www.w3schools.com/html/.

After the advertisement is displayed on your page, you will begin to accumulate clicks and referrals. The more people who see your ad, the better the chances are that someone will click it and proceed to sign up.

Tips and Tricks for Affiliate Advertising

• High traffic areas, such as front pages and main pages, promote more views and clicks. Seeing as the ultimate goal of the referral program is to have users sign up, the more clicks your advertisement receives the better.
• Place your ad at the top of page instead of the bottom. Most users rarely scroll to the bottoms of pages.
• If possible, use Flash ads instead of static ads. They are more visually attractive and will increase your click through rate.
• Change it up! Rotate the ads so returning users see different content when they return.
• Track what works and what doesn't. If a certain ad has a low click rate, change to another and increase your traffic flow!
• You can put your ads anywhere that is appropriate and legal for you to do so. Put them on your friends pages, any personal pages you may have, on dating site profiles and in your e-mail signature. The Profile Pages link is especially useful for this!

Understanding Affiliate Program Stats.

This is a quick over-view of the most important Stats columns.

Raw traffic that is viewing your banner. Every time someone views your ad, no matter how many times a day, it is counted in this column. If you refer someone personally, and they go straight intoUtherverse without viewing a banner, you may still have referrals but no traffic views. Most page view stats and advertising stats refer to Raw Traffic when they analyze page views.

Unique traffic that is viewing your advertisements. This number is different than Raw Traffic because no matter how many times a person visits a banner per day, it only counts them once. That is why this number is always lower than Raw Traffic.

This Join column refers to the amount of people who joined up as Basic Members under a referral from from you. In this case, you can see there is 1 referral each day.

The VIP referral column references the amount of VIP Members you have referred in that day. This specific Stats table shows no VIP members have joined in either day.
